5:30 – 6:00 pm Check-in for the Envision Film Festival – Hodson Dining Commons Lobby

6:00 pm Supper – Eat with your host – Hodson Dining Commons

7:00-8:00 pm Film showcase – Horne Academic Center, Film Finishing / Screening Room

8:00 pm Dessert & Steadicam (intended for high school students) – Horne Academic Center, Room 116 Sound Stage

9:00 pm (Optional) Residence Hall tours, leaving from Habecker West, Hodson Dining Commons

10:00 pm Back to residence hall

 

Friday March 13th

8:00 am Breakfast – Hodson Dining Commons

9:00 am Workshop “From Classroom to Client Work: Lessons from 15 Years in Creative Services” – Dave Baker – Lessons to help you succeed inside a for-profit creative agency and position yourself as an invaluable employee or freelancer.

9:00 am Film and Media Arts presentation & tour – Horne Academic Center, Room 109
For high school students new to Taylor’s campus.

10:00 am Chapel – Rediger Auditorium, Boren Campus Center

11:00 am Workshop “The VFX Pipeline” – Nick Chamberlain – How film and television visual effects move from concept to final frame.

12:00 pm Lunch – Hodson Dining Commons

1:00 pm Workshop “Make Space to Make Meaning”– Dave Baker – Dave explains his company’s not-for-profit branch and shows how to invest your creative talents in meaningful work.

2:30 pm – Snack break – Horne Academic Center, 1st floor hallway outside Green Room

3:00 pm Workshop “Foundations of Photorealism in VFX” –Nick Chamberlain – Nick goes deeper to explain what makes visual effects look real.

4:30 pm Campus Tour with Admissions – leave from Horne Academic Center Lobby

5:30 pm Supper – Hodson Dining Commons

7:00 pm Film Screening and Awards – Rediger Auditorium, Boren Campus Center (free, no tickets required)

10:00 pm After Party (current FMA students invited) – Horne 1st floor hallway

 

Saturday March 14th

9:00 am (Optional) Informational session & tour – learn more about Taylor’s Film & Media Arts program – Horne Academic Center, Room 109 (This is the same content as Friday morning)

10:00 am Brunch & High School Screening Event – Horne Academic Center, Horne 102 Rotunda Room. This event will conclude by 12pm.
