Interviews with Brian Armes (American Film Institute), Mateo Messina (Grammy Award-winning composer of “Juno”) and Luke Barnett (actor, producer).

The Envision Film Festival is the Taylor University Media Communication Department’s annual celebration of student creativity and films. This year (2010) featured the first High School category, as well as several award-winning student productions.

The Envision Film Festival brings guest speakers to Taylor’s campus. Emmy-award winning producer, festival founder and Taylor graduate Vinnie Manganello joined us in 2009. For 2010, we will feature film composer Mateo Messina whose score for the film Juno earned him a Grammy. Financial Manager for the American Film Institute Conservatory, Brian Armes, will also join us. Brian is a 2000 Taylor University graduate. Our third guest is Hollywood actor Luke Barnett who has numerous TV, film and stage credits.

The 2008 festival also included Ben Bays, Emmy Award-winning producer, Michelle Steffes, Sundance-winning filmmaker, and Vinnie Manganello, Emmy Award-winning television producer.

Sundance winning producer & Taylor University graduate Michelle Steffes was the guest of honor at the 2009 Envision Film Festival. Steffes was impressed with the quality of student work and encouraged Taylor filmmakers to pursue their creative dreams in Hollywood.
